Nature Hikes in 2015

WCH_trailhikersPlease join us for an enjoyable Nature Walk along the trails of West Coyote Hills. In Winter, we often have surprisingly wonderful hiking weather between days of refreshing rain showers. Many bird species overwinter here. And we always have the rare opportunity to hear or see a threatened bird, the California Gnatcatcher, which lives here year ’round. On clear days the views of Orange County and nearby snow-covered mountain peaks are spectacular and picture-worthy.

It’s an easy 2 to 2 1/2 mile hike suitable for the entire family. It is a wonderful time to enjoy a walk in the West Coyote Hills – breathe in fresh air, soak up the sunshine and be out-of-doors.

We meet at the open-gate entrance to the Equestrian Center of Laguna Lake Park, on Lakeview just east of Euclid in Fullerton. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water to drink.
