As a result of comments received by the City on the March 2006 Revised Draft Environmental Report (DEIR), significant new information has been added to the following four sections of the DEIR. (Listed sections have been posted on the Reports page.)
Section 4.4 - Air Quality
Section 4.9 - Public Health and Safety
Section 4.10 - Hydrology and Flood Control
Section 4.12 - Biological Resources
In accordance with Section 15088.5 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the State CEQA Guidelines, the City is re-circulating these four sections of the DEIR for public review and comment.
The 45 day public reveiw period for the revised section is January 17 - March 3, 2008.
Once again, the Friends of Coyote Hills are up to the challenge to gather momemtum for preserving all of West Coyote Hills as a park and preserve. And once again, it will take full community support to assure success in our endeavor to save it ALL. Please stay tuned for further updates from both the City and the Friends on this, one of the hottest issues facing our City this election year.
