A grass-roots effort to save the West Coyote Hills from urban development gained momentum when a Sierra Club task force joined the campaign. The property is north of Bastanchury Road and south of the La Habra border between Clark Regional Park and Euclid Street. Pacific Coast Homes, a subsidiary of Chevron Land, has proposed setting aside 340 acres for open space and 230 acres for 760 housing units.
