Nature Hikes
Start the New Year with a Hike in Coyote Hills

Friends of the Coyote Hills go on a nature walk along the edge of Coyote Hills on the second Saturday* of each month. The public is welcome to attend. The meeting place is at Euclid Street and Lakeview in Fullerton by the gate to the equestrian portion of Laguna Lake Park. Expert naturalists and professional biologists provide insight into the natural surroundings.

January to December - Hikes are from  8 a.m. to 10 a.m.  Depending on the group, we can extend to 11 a.m.

Our Next Hike will be SATURDAY, April 12th, 2008, 8AM

Come see the unique hills in an ecosystem quickly disappearing in Southern California. See gnatcatchers, hooded orioles, cotton tails & jack rabbits, raptors, california thrashers, & more!   Hikes begin on Lakeview, just east of Euclid Street in Fullerton. Meet at the equestrian gate to Laguna Lake Park; bring water and wear comfortable shoes.

All Quiet on the West Coyote Hills?

Although it appears to have been quiet on the West Coyote Hills front, the issue of saving West Coyote Hills from development remains one of the most important unresolved issues for our community. Things will be heating up again this fall as the City of Fullerton plans to release the third revision of Chevron-Pacific Coast Homes’ 760-home development plan Environmental Impact Report (EIR). Residents and concerned individuals need to let the City know how the development of West Coyote Hills will negatively impact the character and quality of life in this community.
