Over 1 million people live in the area shown with very little open space for their enjoyment. West Coyote Hills is the last remaining natural open space in North Orange County. Developing it will only add to this problem.
As our community and surrounding areas become more dense, the need for open space becomes ever more pressing. The City of Fullerton is fortunate to have within its borders the last remaining, natural area in northwest Orange and southeast Los Angeles counties. West Coyote Hills contains a superb habitat, ideal for outdoor educational opportunities and recreational activities. The Hills provide visual relief from the sea of buildings and parking lots and an audio reprieve from city living. West Coyote Hills will be our last opportunity for an oasis in the urban sprawl that is consuming Fullerton. Doesn’t it make good sense to keep our LAST open space natural and undeveloped?
